Victory for Respiratory/Pulmonary Patients!

Yes, the title is correct!  On July 15, 2008, President Bush vetoed HR6331, but the House of Representatives overrode the veto by 383-41, and the Senate followed with a override vote of 70-26.

What a Historic Moment for the AARC, its affiliates, and Pulmonary Patients.  This means victory for our patients.  Our patients can now not worry about Medicare capping their home oxygen to 36 months of rental payments, and our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Patients will still have a Medicare payment for their visits.

After all of the long, hard work our dream has come true.  We want to thank all of you.  This is a strong example of how the inevitable can be overturned when everyone "Keeps the Faith" and participates in fighting hard to support our patients.

Thanks to All and Hats Off to You!

Mississippians should be Proud of their Senators who also Voted in Favor of the Patients.
